MSB-LV Low VOC Basecoat System
Recently, Matrix System introduced a 3.5 VOC solvent basecoat system called, MSB-LV which is now part of AccuShade LV. Modeled after the Matrix Standard Basecoat System, MSB-LV has evolved into an alternative basecoat to waterborne for those looking for a high performance “eco-friendly” paint system. MSB-LV offers a prescription color match for all your automotive refinish applications while being mixed off of the AccuShade Intermix system. If you are devoted to the application of a solvent basecoat, but require the low VOC, then MSB-LV is exactly what you’re looking for.
Low VOC Reducers
Designed for use in the MSB-LV basecoat, Matrix System has produced three solvent selections. MBR-100 is our standard reducer designed for most applications. MBR-200 is our slow reducer for warmer temperatures and larger applications. MBR-300 is our very slow reducer used for painting large jobs in temperatures higher than 80°. These solvents complement the MSB-LV system while complying to the VOC regulated markets.
Conversion Binder
MT-95LV Conversion Binder replaces the standard MT-95 Binder, which is the foundation of our AccuShade LV line. This Conversion Binder provides the Low VOC Basecoat line with superior color match and maintains 3.5 VOC or lower.
Aqualution Waterborne Basecoat
The Aqualution Waterborne Basecoat System (AWB) by Matrix System has been developed to provide customers with outstanding color match, exceptional hiding, high efficiency, and increased productivity. AWB is an easy to learn system with a compact line of 65 toners.
VOC Compliant Clearcoats: MSV-21, MSV-27, MS-130LV, and AG-40LV
These VOC Compliant Clearcoats offer customers an easy way meet or exceed the 3.5 or 2.1 VOC regulations. Benefits include: high gloss, easy application, and excellent flow.
