Summary: Responsible for growing customer base and for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities and increasing net sales for all product line and/or market. Manages territory to meet and exceed established sales budgets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, talks with customers in person and by phone
Displays and demonstrates product/service, using samples or catalog and emphasizes salable features
Finds new Matrix distributors in assigned territory
Prepares weekly/monthly reports of business transactions and keeps expense accounts
Maintains contact with existing accounts in order to deal with and resolve product issues, build relationships and pull through sales through visits and phone contact and seek out new opportunities
Compiles list of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from ad inquiries, trade shows, direct mail responses, dealer resellers, business directories, internet web sites and other sources
Handles sales leads to convert customers into new sales through overcoming technical and business objections of prospective customers by educating them on our products and services
Prepares periodic reports of existing and new and sales activities along with industry and competitive information.
Extensive travel required
