Matrix System Teams Up Again with Webster Racing to Sponsor The U-22 Hydroplane
Walled Lake, MI – July 6, 2010 – Matrix System Automotive Finishes is excited to announce its second year of sponsorship with the Webster Racing U-22 unlimited hydroplane for the 2010 race season.
Mike Webster age 30 from Shillington, PA is the professional driver of the U-22 and has been racing boats since the age of 10. He is considered one of the youngest national champions in the sport and won his first national title at age 15. Later on he also won national and world titles in 2004 and 2005.
In 2009, Webster debuted the U-22 and finished 7th overall. He also took home Rookie of the Year honors for the H1 Unlimited Series. For the 2010 season, Webster racing is looking forward to improving the hull performance and consistency of the boat, making the final heat of each race, and qualifying again for the World Championships in Doah, Qatar.

The U-22 is part of the American Boat Racing Association (ABRA) circuit, which is considered the top tier of boat racing. During the course of the year Webster Racing will be participating in the Madison, IN Regatta - July 2-4, APBA Gold Cup - Detroit, MI July 9-11, Lamb Weston Columbia Cup -Tri-Cities, WA July 23-25, Seafair Albert Lee Cup - Seattle, WA August 6-8, and the UIM World Championship - Doah, Qatar November 19-20.
This weekend Webster racing will participate in the Detroit Gold Cup, which is among the most prestigious of motorsport trophies, located on the Detroit River. Last year the U-22 qualified for the race; however Webster injured his left hand and was unable to drive in the event. This year the Webster racing crew is looking to make some changes and turn more heads with enhancing the hydroplane’s overall performance which includes improving its lift and handling.
