Matrix System® Announces U-22 Hydroplane Sponsorship
Walled Lake, MI – May 27, 2009 – Matrix System Automotive Finishes is excited to announce that it is the title sponsor for the Webster Racing U-22 unlimited hydroplane during the 2009 race season.
Mike Webster age 29, from Shillington, PA is the professional driver of the U-22 and has been racing boats since the age of 10. He is considered one of the youngest national champions in the sport and won his first national title at age 15. Later on he also won national and world titles in 2004 and 2005.
Webster will make his debut this year on the American Boat Racing Association (ABRA) circuit, which is considered the top tier of boat racing. During the course of the year Webster Racing will be participating in the Madison, IN Regatta - July 3-5, APBA 100th Running of the Gold Cup - Detroit, MI July 10-12, Lamb Weston Columbia Cup -Tri-Cities, WA July 24-26, Seafair Chevrolet Cup - Seattle, WA July 31 –August 2, Thunder on the Ohio - Evansville, IN August 21-23, and the World Championship - Doah, Qatar November 13-15.
Working hard is something that comes naturally to Webster. He is currently a Health and Physical Education teacher during the day, while investing another 30-40 hours a week refurbishing his unlimited boat in preparation for his debut.
